When Freeplay first brought out their wind up radio in the late 90’s I immediately fell in love. Not just with the product but with the whole story. In it’s early stages British inventor Trevor Baylis went through years of knock backs from the investment world who couldn’t see the potential. Were they blind? Hindsight says they most definitely were! In the end he funded the first models himself and went on to embrace a business ethic that saw a wind up radio donated to the third world for every unit bought.
